Benazir probe report to be made public soon: Gilani

* PM says he respects Fazl for his support

GARHI KHUDA BUKHSH: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Sunday the inquiry of Benazir Bhutto’s murder was sub-judice, but it would soon be made public as progress was made in the investigation.

He was talking to reporters after visiting the mausoleum of Benazir Bhutto.

He said the assassination of Benazir Bhutto was a tragedy not only for Pakistan, but for the whole world, as she was an epoch making personality and a global leader.

He said the Pakistan People’s Party would continue the politics of reconciliation according to the vision of Benazir Bhutto.

Political parties have remained united on issues of national interest and they played their role in the democratic process, he added.

The government would move forward on issues in consultation with other political parties, he added.

He said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) were following their own manifestos and have their own programme and priorities.

He said Pakistan was trying to convince coalition forces that drone attacks by them were adding to Pakistan’s problems in the fight against terrorism.
